Praying for those in need

Prayer is very significant in our lives in so many ways.

The simple fact is that God hears us when we call out to him and the act of prayer changes situations and those who pray.

There are many ways in which we share prayer together, one is through praying for individual people by name during church services.

As many of you know, there is a book in church where you can write names of people you would like us to pray for, and those people will then be prayed for by name during services.  We are happy to pray for anyone who is in need in this way.

There are some people we have been praying for in recent weeks who we do not know and whose current situations of which we are unaware.  We are very happy to pray without disclosure of background information but this does mean we are not always aware when the need for prayer ends.

To keep the list current we will be starting it afresh on Ash Wednesday (1st March 2017).  You are very welcome to add a name to the new list that has been on the old list if the person is still in need but we will stop using the old list at that point.  You are welcome to add new names of any that are in need to the new list.  Please just check that the person is happy to have their name on the list before you add it.  If after a few weeks you know that the need for prayer has ended, please tell us so we can keep the list up to date.

Thank you for praying with us.

With much hope,

Tim
