Bleadon News & Notices: week beginning Sunday 28^th January

News

On Monday last we had a very fruitful meeting in our Exploring Change series of workshops. Although the session was mainly about finances, some ideas were offered about extra or alternative forms of worship, outreach in the community and events that we might run as a church. Do please keep the ideas coming, leaving a note in the Church Room letter box or by email to davidhughes119@btinternet.com

The next session will be on Monday 5^th February, which will focus on prayers of blessing for people in same sex relationships.

Forthcoming Services

Next Sunday, 4^th February (2^nd Sunday before Lent), is Morning Praise at 10.15 in the Church Room.

Events

Monday 29^th               Please note that as this is a 5^th Monday there is no Craft and Chat.

   Please pray for the PCC which meets this afternoon.

Friday 2^nd        Friendship Club, 1.45-3.45 in the Coronation Hall: Beetle Game.

Wednesday 7^th Feb    Out to Lunch in February will be held in the Church Room, not at Riverside.

Supporting our Church & Community

There are a number of items we could do with in the church at the moment, if you are in a position to donate them:

• a small bookcase (say, 1000mm tall, 600mm wide and 200mm deep);
• a two-drawer lockable under-desk filing cabinet;
• a small wall-mounted coat-rack.

Please do not go out and buy any of these: at least, not without talking to us first! We wish to re-use items you no longer have a purpose (or room) for in the first instance, and only then to consider buying them.
